The Financial Consumer Agency of Canada (FCAC) uses Twitter (a free messaging service owned by Twitter) as one way to communicate with consumers of financial products and services. Our use of Twitter is intended to support communication between us and other Twitter users. In addition to FCAC’s Social Media Terms of Use, these Terms of Use describe how FCAC communicates with users through Twitter.
Twitter is a real-time information network that connects users to the latest stories, ideas, opinions and news about what they find interesting.
FCAC’s tweets will cover various finance-related topics of interest to individual consumers, partners, teachers and financial literacy advocates.
If you follow @FCACan or @ACFCan on Twitter, you can expect tweets covering some or all of the following:
FCAC’s decision to follow a particular Twitter user does not imply endorsement of any kind.
We may also retweet news and links that we believe are relevant to the work we do to help consumers understand, and shop for, a variety of financial products and services.
FCAC's tweets are composed and delivered in both official languages, the English being posted on @FCACan and the French on @ACFCan.
FCAC’s Twitter accounts are not Government of Canada websites and represent our presence on Twitter, a third-party service provider. We encourage you to read Twitter's Terms of Service, Rules and Privacy Policy.
If you feel someone has violated Twitter's Terms of Service, report the problem by contacting the Twitter Trust and Safety team.
