Payment Options and Money Transfers

As a consumer, you have several options to pay for things you buy, pay your bills or send money to someone else.

Most merchants accept cash, debit cards, credit cards, and prepaid cards as a form of payment. Some merchants can also set up a pre-authorized payment option to automate regular bill payments.

Regardless of how you choose to pay or transfer money, it is important to

  • know how much that type of payment or money transfer will cost you
  • know what to do if there is a problem with your bill or transaction
  • understand your rights and responsibilities
  • track your spending on a regular basis.
