Question:
Is there any limit on how often you can get a free copy of your credit report?
Answer:
In FCAC's publication Understanding Your Credit Report and Credit Score, we recommend that you ask for a copy of your credit report from all two of Canada's credit bureaus — Equifax Canada and TransUnion — at least once a year.
You can ask for free copies of
your credit report as often as you want, but keep in mind that creditors must send
new information to credit-reporting agencies within 30 to 90 days following the
effective date of any change.
